Serenity Tai Chi

Serenity Tai Chi has offered classes in Tai Chi and Qi Gong to the South Jersey community since 2006. However, the instructor, David Kerr, has moved away to Tacoma, Washington for family reasons.

He has studied intensively with Master William Ting since 1992, learning the Wu Ji Jing Gong family of disciplines: Qi Gong, the first, second, and third section of the form, sword, fan, bagua, and push hands.

It's well worth while to visit Master Ting's website, Silver Tiger Tai Chi, to see his current offerings and Tai Chi resources.

Tai Chi is a gentle exercise, appropriate for all ages.

Doing Tai Chi lowers blood pressure, reduces stress, improves balance, strengthens your immune system, and helps to heal chronic conditions.
Best 1 liner: Tai Chi is strength training the your Accupuncture health system.

Scientific studies show that Tai Chi measurably improves many medical conditions. see the Harvard Study: The Health Benefits Of Tai Chi

When you practice Tai Chi, you hope to incorporate Tai Chi principles and posture into your everyday movements, to become more graceful, poised, and serene in all situations.

Books

  • Essential Concepts of Tai Chi, by Master William Ting
Master Ting sets forth a deep path of discovery for the Tai Chi practitioner of every style and level. He describes and explains the Basic Foundational Principles normally shared only between the closed- door student and the Master under whom he studies. What makes this book stand out is the clarity of language and imagery used to explain concepts often misunderstood, or simply missing, due to translation difficulties and a reluctance to share this special knowledge with more than just a privileged few. He carefully presents, chapter by chapter, a blueprint of study which ultimately reveals the internal elements so often forgotten or overlooked by modern students.
What Master Ting hopes to do is to make you the master of your own Tai Chi.
  • The Way of Qigong: The Art and Science of Chinese Energy Healing, by Ken Cohen
Qigong is an integrated mind-body healing method that has been practiced with remarkable results in China for thousands of years. The Chinese have long treasured qigong for its effectiveness both in healing and in preventing disease, and more recently they have used it in conjunction with modern medicine to cure cancer, immune system disorders, and other life-threatening conditions. Now in this fascinating, comprehensive volume, renowned qigong master and China scholar Kenneth S. Cohen explains how you too can integrate qigong into your life--and harness the healing power that will help your mind and body achieve the harmony of true health.
